Muffin Top food diary 3-4-10

Wasn't hungry this morning at all so all I had was a little smoothie popsicle (I make smoothies out of frozen fruit, orange juice, protein powder, electrolyte powder and anti-oxidant powder, then i freeze the leftovers as popsicles. Each popsicle is pretty small, like a fourth of a cup)

Then about 1pm I made this scrumptious salad--- lettuce (ice berg, unfortunately- I live in Asia and it's hard to find spinach!) corn, brocolli (neither cooked cause I ran out of time) 1 hard boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, a splash of olive oil and a pinch of salt, oh yeah and a bit of cheddar cheese....

For dinner I went to an Italian place--- prob not the low-fattest option, but mmmmmm delicious! I had pumpkin soup, a fresh salad, and a baked pasta dish with fake chicken meat (made of soy?) and smothered in cheese. Yeeeeeeeeah! I love me some cheese.

now I'm home and trying to curb my night-time snacking. So far I've had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, the remains of my pasta, and a couple of rice crackers. I guess it's sort of like that salad was my breakfast, the pasta was my lunch, and this is my dinner. I've heard that eating late at night will make you fatter, but I don't really see why- I mean, isn't it all about caloric intake vs. energy expenditure? but who knows maybe there's something to it or maybe you're just more likely to eat more at night. so I'm going to try to eat a bigger breakfast to see if it helps me eat less at night. And for the rest of tonight, I'll limit myself to four more rice crackers and some seaweed (oooh man since I moved to Asia I've been a bit obsessed with the seaweed- not too bad, a lot of sodium but some fiber and minerals too.)

For exercise I hooped for an hour till I was sweaty and red-faced. It was GREAT.
Gotta surf tomorrow. Was going to go today but too windy for my tastes. Here's to no wind (or off-shore wind) and beautiful open faced waves tomorrow ;D
